spoon river anthology
one thing that i am really enjoying about this book is the conflicts between certain people. It’s interesting to see different sides of a persons story. It’s kidna like these people’s last explanations, like if they hadnt passed away, this is how they would explain their death. one of my favorites from the section we read was between knowlt hohemier and lydia puckett. Knowlt says he turned a solider beacause he wanted to escape from going to jail. She says it was beacuse he found her sneaking around with another man and they got into a fight . I think these things are so crazy. Who do we believe. I wish i could go back and talk to some of these characters to get the stories straight. The spoon river anthology reminds me of a big gossip magizine, or like two. Like US weekly, OK, and Star Magazines. the magazines tell the same stories, but sometimes from a different person. Like the feud between Lauren and Heidi- one magazine interviews lauren, the other heidi, and one another friend. They all give different reasons, different stories, just like this book.
